Elk Run Assisted Living: Where You Can Find the Opportunities You Seek

If you or your loved ones have made a resolution to seek a new residence this year, or you just want to explore other living options and opportunities, you can find the opportunities you seek at Elk Run Assisted Living, 31383 Frost Way in Evergreen.

Independent living and assisted living services and options for seniors

Elk Run provides comprehensive assisted living services/options (medical, respite, personalized care services, and hospice) for seniors, as well as independent living for active people 65-plus seeking more leisure fun time and less home-related responsibilities. Elk Run’s COVID-19 safety measures/practices remain in place. Its well-trained 24/7 staff now includes two onsite nurses and additional maintenance personnel.

“Change can be a challenge for the entire family and relocating is sometimes a decision that takes time to make,”

Elk Run Executive Director Kristen Fite.

Remodeled basic one-bedroom or studio apartment rentals at Elk Run showcase a kitchenette/private bath, personal call system/mobility-assistance features, and unlimited snacks. Community amenities spotlight an elegant dining room, three daily wholesome meals, a professional beauty/barber salon, Great Room with fireplace, and a library with internet service.

“Our residents are upbeat and joyful,” said Admissions/Marketing Director Lisa Carter. “They appreciate all the opportunities associated with Elk Run living and happily participate in bingo, onsite community clubs/groups (book, coffee, garden…), the handbell choir, and other activities.”

“Further, Elk Run is not only a great place to make new friends, but also for old friends to come together,” Carter stated, admitting that she often interacts with potential residents for nearly a year before they decide to become part of the community. However, those who already have friends living at Elk Run seem to make their decision more quickly.

Connect with new people or reconnect with old friends

One day when Lisa Carter was giving a potential resident and former elementary school teacher a tour of Elk Run, the visitor soon discovered that another teacher she has known for over 30 years had actually relocated to Elk Run a few months prior. Consequently, it took only about 5 months for that visitor to move to the senior living community. As residents of Elk Run Assisted Living, the two retired educators can now enjoy their enduring friendship and interact together on a daily basis.

Considering moving this year? Elk Run is here for you. Enjoy stress-free senior living, delicious meals, an activities schedule that includes a variety of classes, including Tai Chi, opportunities to join various club or groups, and the chance to connect with new people or reconnect with old friends. In the words of Welsh Composer Joseph Parry (1841-1903), “Make new friends, but keep the old; those are silver, these are gold.”
