Welcome to Elk Run Assisted Living Community!
|
Elk Run takes its name from the
adjoining Elk Run Meadows Open Space. We strive to
create the most responsive, innovative, and progressive
care environment available. We provide programs and
services that contribute significantly to our resident's
quality of life. Following is a guide to assist you
and your loved one in becoming a member of our Community. |
|
1st
- Visit us! Our facility has all the amenities of a fine
hotel, with more programs and services than your typical
assisted living facility. (See our amenities insert)
2nd - While taking a tour, ask for our
admission packet. By filling out the forms, you enable us
to gain a tremendous amount of knowledge about your loved
one. We want and need to know their functional capabilities,
cognitive abilities, social likes and dislikes, hobbies
and food preferences. We will then create a care plan tailored
to meet the specific needs of your family member. If you
see a room you like, put down a deposit.
3rd - Submit the application for residency.
This will reserve a place for your family member to receive
the best care, in a socially strong environment, at the
earliest possible time. Our facility is popular and admission
is not always automatic, which is why we advise those interested
to get on the wait list as early as possible. Applications
can be found inside our admission packet.
4th – As the time draws near for
your loved one to become a member of our community, we will
need to have the admission packet completed. This must include
a copy of the resident's most recent medical history and
physical from their physician, and if applicable, copies
of your Power of Attorney or Guardianship papers. By taking
the time necessary to provide us with all the requested
information, you enable us to do our job to the best of
our ability.
5th - On the day you move in, you are encouraged
to bring your family member's own furnishings; however,
we can provide some furniture at a reasonable additional
cost. All clothing should be marked with a permanent fabric
marker, to assist us in identifying resident’s laundry
as we wash it.
6th - Stay in touch. You are always welcome
to visit Elk Run. If you are so inclined, please consider
volunteering. Volunteers help with activities, or help residents
write letters, read, or reminisce. Attend our special ceremonies
on holidays, birthdays, or with guest speakers. Without
your feedback, we'll never reach our full potential. We
enjoy talking with you and learning more about that unique
individual, now a resident at Elk Run.
